Verdict is in -

It's a BOY!

After a lot of fun bantering between the girls and boys in our household, the boys came out victorious! I was in the process of posting proof...but it felt kind of weird to put up a picture of my child's 'nakeds' on the internet...even if the picture is a rather fuzzy, black and white one. McKenzie and I got over the defeat quite quickly and have been tossing boy names out all over the place.

Brian asked McKenzie, "How about Clayton?"
McKenzie responded, "Ummmmm, no. That sounds too much like Satan."

Well, perhaps not Clayton, then. Any suggestions?! :)

  2. Congrats! We are so excited for you guys! I have really loved having a boy. And I am sure you no this, but boys are so different! At least mine is. Although he is not doing very well right now, but he is just so different from my girls! Good luck with names. Josh and I had a really hard time picking one. For one of our dates we went out and sat at Borders and looked at all the baby name books. It was so much fun. I will never forget doing that! We laugh a lot. So good luck! Congrats again! You so SOOOOO cute pregent too! I love you picture. I wish I had looked that cute! :)

  3. Yay for boys! My kids' suggestions for ours were: Chip Kung-Fu and Mr. Zebra. I give you permission to steal either one.

  4. Hey Linds,
Congrats on the boy. That is so fun! My favorite boy name is Jack. Simple, I know. But I love it and it doesn't quite work with out last name. Too many "k" sounds together. Jack Alder though has a nice ring to it. The rest of my favorite boy names I'll have to keep to myself. Good luck!

  5. Oh boy! I was just thinking about you today, and your baby.
I recommend this baby name website:
    http://babynamesworld.parentsconnect.com/
I spent many hours (Brady says days) reviewing it, as it shows the 1000 most popular boys and girls names for a given year, and shows the popularity of a name over the past 100+ years, as well as meanings, etc

  6. How funny is it that she put those two names together. How about Daxton? A little out of the ordinary, but I like it. Good luck on finding a name.

  7. GOOD LUCK!!! Boy's names are the WORST!! We were 7 months pregnant when I finally came up with Hunter's. And we joked that the reason Jonathan had to be in the NICU was so that I could pick a name before he came home (he was 3 days old before I finally decided on Jonathan). I have no help for you, but lots of cheering and rooting for you that you'll pick one before he comes!!!

  8. Yay! I am so happy for you guys. My favorite name that I can't name my kids is PETER. Peter Barker is too like Peter Parker (Spiderman) so it is a no-go for us. Good luck. Boys names are impossible, and I would know.

  9. Your conversations with your family really crack me up! Congratulations, maybe you could go with Waldo? Don't laugh, one of my siblings wanted to name a younger sibling Waldo, seriously, and when my parents didn't take his advice, people thought someone had said something :) Kind of funny.

  11. Yeah!! I'm SOOO excited for you!! I hope that you are able to find a name. I LOVE the name Alexander with Alex for short. However, Richard says he will NEVER EVER name his son that for personal historical reasons. Anyway, that's my suggestion. Good Luck!!
